Solace (saa-luhs) means to give comfort, especially in times of need. Solace was a given to me as nickname because of how I helped bring calm and comfort to those close to me. I created Solace Touch as a way to help business owners who are in need of help when they have so much on their plate. A comforting touch for their business to make their lives easier!
Understanding the challenges these organization face such as lack of budget, lack of time, and competing priorities, customer facing media is often seen as a low priority. However, many organizations need to let the public know the good they are doing in the community or how their products and services can make lives better.

While earning my Bachelor's of Science in Chemical Engineering, I worked at the Purdue Telefund. The Telefund raised funding for various university schools and fundraising initiatives through cold calling. I successfully achieved 7% donation rate from non-donors where the average was 3%.
In 2010, I became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. My experience within the organization has led to creating and managing community based programs, large scale fundraising events, leading and serving on committees. In my last role, I served as Public Relations Director for the Iota Zeta Chapter in Indianapolis managing our social media, website, and marketing materials.
In 2015, I moved back to Indianapolis and helped launch The Ross Foundation, an Indianapolis grassroots organization. As President of a small team, I held many responsibilities from managing our social media, marketing, website, accounting program writer, and more. I also wrote our grant proposals, securing and managing $72,000 in funding for crime prevention program on the Far Eastside of Indianapolis.
In 2019, I decided to return back to school to pursue my Master's in Business Administration in Information Technology at Western Governor's University! On this journey, I am learning more about the journey of organizations adopting a technology first, modernization strategy. Combining the business impact and human impact of technology brings me joy. Enterprise organizations spend millions of dollars to implement while small business are getting left behind. My goal is to help small businesses use technology to help propel their business whether is marketing or general operations.
After working with nonprofits and other small businesses over the years, I decided to help small businesses make a bigger impact through digital marketing and general consulting. There are so many organization doing great things, but are struggling to get the word out. Marketing can be done effectively and affordably.
We're Helping Youth (WHY) was a youth-led, Indianapolis nonprofit that provided tutoring, mentoring, academic planning, and financial aid counseling services to college-bound Indiana high school students from under-served populations. As a a part of a small team of 3, we created a mentoring program for Greenbriar Elementary and secured grant funding from United Way to support program expenses.
